Brian Gerard Keith Sr. was born on March 1, 1962, in Saint Louis, Mo. Brian was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, whose protective nature and steadfast integrity fashioned the backbone of his family.
January 19, 2024, Brian joined his parents, Ethel and McKinley Keith in heaven, whose memory continues to inspire him throughout his life.
Brian is survived by his devoted wife, Lavonda Keith, whom he married in 1988, and their children; daughter, Latasha Keith-Collins, (Tyrhon) and sons, Brian Keith, Jr. and Ryan Keith. He was a proud grandfather to Amaya Haines, Tamia Collins, TJ Collins, Tyler Collins, and Jersey Keith. He also leaves behind his sisters, Kristen Keith and Cynthia Miller, and his brothers, Randall Keith and Phillip Keith. Brian also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Brian was a Member of Perpetual Praise Worship Ministries up until his death led by his brother-in-law. Bishop Jimmy L. Vaughn Sr.
Brian received his education in the St. Louis Public School District. He graduated from Vashon High School. Brian then went on the join the United States Army.
Brian loved to do family outings such as taking the grandkids on long drives, spending a day at the zoo, picnics in the park, and attending all the grandkid’s sporting and dance events. Brian loved to cook dinner for his family and was well known for his Kool-Aid, fried chicken, and BBQ.
Remembered as a man who led by example, Brian taught his children to cherish life and keep going no matter what. His supportive, honest, kind, and loving nature provided a strong foundation for his family. Among his greatest accomplishments was creating a prosperous life for himself and his loved ones, a testament to his determination and hard work.
Brian's legacy will remain a beacon for his family, characterized by a deep sense of responsibility, empathy, and resilience. His life's work was not just providing for his family, but also guidance and encouragement in their pursuits. As we remember Brian, we are reminded of the values he instilled in us and the love he had for us all.
