Cameron Ray McGuire Jr., was born on December 21, 1993, in St. Louis, MO. to his parents, Rolanda T. Tate and Cameron R. McGuire Sr. Cameron was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents Robert T. and Emmagene M. Jordan (Grammie), and Maternal Grandmother Gilda Turner, whom all undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms into the embrace of eternity. Cameron resided in Atlanta, GA. at the time of his transitioning. He was the only beloved son of Rolanda T. Tate.
Cameron Jr. gave his life to Christ at an early age, attending Central Baptist Church with his grandmother (Grammie). He was baptized, while in middle school, by Pastor Dr. Robert Scott. He loved God and used that love to guide him in his life. Cameron was very popular, loved and respected by everyone.
Cameron attended school in the Lindbergh School District. Cameron was a passionate high school athlete who excelled in basketball and football. He played sports up until graduating from Lindbergh High School in 2012. Cameron furthered his education at the University of Missouri, Kansas City (UMKC). In April 2013, Cameron was honored by the Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society for maintaining a 3.5 GPA within his early years of College. On November 4, 2013, Cameron became a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., Lambda Alpha Chapter. Cameron served as chapter President, Treasurer and President of the National Pan-Hellenic Council in 2015. Cameron graduated from UMKC in December 2016 with a B.S. in Health Sciences. After graduating, Cameron remained in Kansas City, MO until 2018.
Cameron was a talented music artist, known in the industry as “Cam Duce”. He found solace and joy in creating music and designing a brand for his entertainment clothing line. He was dedicated to his music and with his creative spirit, he founded and owned his own brand, “GroundUp Entertainment LLC”. Cameron’s passion for music was contagious and he touched the hearts of many with his melodies and lyrics. He was driven by his ambition and determination with his music, clothing line brand and special events. Cameron relocated to his dream city, Atlanta GA, in 2018 to pursue his entrepreneurial aspirations.
Cameron was a driven individual who did not recognize failure. Not only was Cameron a gifted music artist, but also a visionary entrepreneur. In Atlanta, Cameron remained focused on his music, while at the same time, full-filled his goal of becoming his own boss. In July of 2019, Cameron started his own roofing company and was a dedicated owner of Complete Precision Roofing LLC. Cameron’s work ethic, focus and expertise lead to substantial business growth and success. This year, he started a new journey in his new venture, “GroundUp Realty.”
Cameron was so grateful for the friendships developed and the opportunity to have met local talent and celebrities. Cameron was always upbeat in spirit and enjoyed life overall. He loved traveling, creating latest content, expanding his brand and working out. He took pride in keeping himself physically fit and maintaining a fashionable appearance.
Cameron loved family gatherings and would show up to any event he could, big or small. Cameron was grateful to be in the presence of loved ones. Anytime he came back to St. Louis, it was a party. Simply put he LOVED his FAMILY! His loving heart wouldn’t rest until he showed his support in any way he could. He was genuine, trustworthy and gave his ALL.
Cameron will always be remembered as one to have the biggest heart; smiling, laughing and always having your back. To know Cameron, was to love him. His confident presence combined with a humbling personality remained consistent. He always greeted you with open arms and a beautiful smile no matter who you were. He never allowed you to keep a frown on your face. He would look you in the face, firmly shake your hand and introduce himself with boldness, obedience and compassion. No matter if it was work or relaxation, he maintained a professional appearance and reproach.
Cameron Jr. transitioned to Life Eternal on the morning of May 27, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter.
Cameron Ray McGuire Jr. leaves to cherish his memory: his loving parents - (mother) Rolanda Tate (Ronney), (father) Cameron Ray McGuire Sr., his loyal (grandfather) O.D. Cameron Jr.'s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and colleagues. Forever remembered for his kindness, creativity, and bright spirit.
