Chandler Johnson was born April 22, 1939 in Aberdeen, Mississippi to B. Hogan and Letha Johnson. His parents preceded him in death. Chandler attended Perrine High School in Mississippi.
Better known as “Cat Daddy”, Chandler was a hard-working man. He worked for Busy Bee Paving Company for 25 years.
Chandler enjoyed everyday life. He was definitely one of a kind. From the way talked to the way he walked, he was an all around smooth “cat”. His kindness to people extended beyond his family and friends.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory: his wife Shirley Thornton-Johnson; daughter Sandy Johnson and stepson Randolph Thornton; two brothers Eddie Ewings and A.C. Ewings; sisters Corine Burks and Rebecca Ewings; three grandchildren Tracy Johnson, Cathy Johnson and Shonica Jones; eight great grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
