Mr. Earlando Willis Sr. Obituary

Earlando Andrea’ Willis Sr. was born August 12, 1974 in St. Louis, MO to Robert Earl Willis (deceased) and Ruby Lee (Terry) Willis. Earlando was the fifth child and the only boy born to this union, which made him “extra special”. He was affectionately known as “Lan” or “Lando”. Lan was preceded in death by his sister Felicia Rena Willis, stepdaughter Natishé Marie Tilson, and sister in law Chiquita Richardson. He was educated in the Normandy School System; and worked various jobs in the industrial field.

Earlando accepted Christ as his personal savior. He became a member of Original Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. He was steadfast in his belief and faith in Jesus Christ to the very end. He never wavered on his trust and belief in the Lord. Lan was an organ donor. He donated seven organs and saved five lives which spoke volumes. Lan will forever be considered a “Hero”.

Earlando joined in holy matrimony with Robyn Robinson on August 28, 2004 and gained a son Da’Rez Yarber; they were both excited about jumping the broom and he affectionately called her Wifey or Bae. He was a family man. He coached Da’Rez “Fatty” as he called him. He also stepped up to be a basketball coach at De La Salle Academy when the original coach stepped down so team could continue the year out. Lan and Robyn would take at least five trips a year he loved to travel and do new things. Lan was Robyn protector and when she had cancer, he never left her side. Lan would always tell Robyn “Till death do us part”. Their love was a match made in Heaven.

Lan was a natural leader and known to be counted on within his community, amongst family, friends, and strangers. If there was a job to be done, he was always there. His favorite words were “I’m on my way”. He also could make a dish out of everything and anything with his surprising cooking skills. He had the most beautiful smile that could light up your soul. Lan was a loving and compassionate person who loved family game nights, riding motorcycles, washing his truck, playing with the kids, listening to his music “up loud”, and going to the casino was his favorite past time of them all. He also enjoyed partying, traveling, laughing and telling his back in the day stories. Lan’s favorite places to frequent was Oxford, MS and Las Vegas, Nevada. Lan continued to reach out and meet new friends everywhere. Lan had a great influence on all the people he met. His sense of humor and quick wit was unparallel. “He” was literally, “The LIFE of The Party!”

On February 29, 2020, God wrapped His loving arms around Earlando and welcomed him peacefully to his heavenly home. Earlando leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Robyn; his mother Ruby Lee Willis; five children: Diona Johnson, Earlando Willis Jr., Quan Willis, Earionna Willis, and Da’Rez Yarber; four grandchildren: Jacorion Moore, Eariel Willis, Armani Willis, and Anina Willis; four siblings: Earlecia Willis, Melissa Willis, Ruthesia Willis, and Dwayne Willis; mother-in-law Marie Tidwell; sisters-in-law: Joyce Tidwell, Sheila Robinson-Pearson, Cassandra Robinson, and Tamisha (Aaron) Edwards; and brothers-in-law: Charles Clacks and Reuben Robinson Jr.; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and special friends from Velda City; and a special niece who shared his birthday Jakella Willis.
