Mr. Gari Boyd Obituary

Gari Michael Boyd was born November 30, 1953, to the union of Norlene and Robert L. Boyd. He was the eldest of nine children. His brothers, Gerald and Stephen, preceded him in death. He departed this life on May 17, 2020.

Gari (Mike), as his family lovingly called him, lived a full life. Gari was a hardworking man. He graduated from Sumner High School, attended Harris Stowe College, and earned a degree in Automotive Technology from Forest Park Community College.

Gari enjoyed careers of more than twenty years at the American Can Company and the City of St. Louis in the Equipment Services Division. He retired from the City of St. Louis in January of 2020. He also owned Budget Lawn and Rehab Services.

Gari had may friends and touched the lives of those he encountered. He enjoyed spending time with his family, classic cars, tailgating, and attending sporting events and concerts.

Gari leaves to cherish his memory a beloved son, Jonathan, and step-daughter Rosalyn; mother, Norlene; sisters, Carol, Cynthia, Candace, and Christy; brothers, Dale and David; brother-cousin Darryl; special nephew Rodney; special friends Eric, Maurice, and Bud; and a host of loving friends and relatives.
