Mr. James Ronald Boykin

James "Ronnie" Ronald Boykin was born February 11, 1949 to the union of the late James Edward Boykin and Maudelle Eva (Owens) Boykin in St. Louis, Missouri.  On Friday, January 22, 2021, Ronnie, departed from this life.  He was preceded in death by James E. Boykin; his step-father Ben Fite and his step-sister, Lorraine Fite; and numerous aunt and uncles. 

Ronnie was baptized at St. Matthews Church.  He attended school at St. Matthews Catholic School and attended Northview High School both located in St. Louis.

Ronnie was joined in Holy Matrimony to Queen Ester Boykin.  To this union there were no children born.  The marriage was dissolved in 1999.

Ronnie had a passion for bowling, roller skating, playing basketball and shooting pool.  He held general laborer positions throughout his life.  He lived in California and Jefferson City, Missouri, for a period of time however lived most of his life in the St. Louis area.  

Ronnie enjoyed spending time with his family at family gatherings and reunions.  In his youth, he would spend quality time with his cousins David Simmons, Ira Simmons, Johnny Boy Hodge, Bobby Hodge and Leo Hodge.  On occasion, he would share a residence and spend time with his sister Lorraine.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his devoted mother, Maudelle Fite; aunts Audrey Parish, Ruth Moore, Mary Ann Thompson and Darlene Burrage; his half sister Angela Boykin; and countless other relatives and friends.
