Mr. James Brown Obituary

James D. Brown was born in St. Louis, Missouri on April 5, 1967 to the union of Johnnie and Nettie Brown; his father, Johnnie Brown and mother, Nettie Brown, both preceded him in death. James devoted his life to Christ at an early age and was baptized at Salem Missionary Baptist Church here in St. Louis, Missouri.

He was educated in St. Louis Public Schools and graduated from Vashon High School in 1987. He later went on to study Mechanics, which manifested into a deep passion for automotive and led to a long career in transportation. James worked as a professional driver for many years, but his most important job was tending to his beloved mother.

When his mom needed him most, James quit working and devoted his time to care for his beloved mother. James loved to be around family and friends and brought laughter to every event. James was a devoted father and family man. He enjoyed spending time with his daughters, family, and friends. James’ smile would brighten up any room he entered. His charming, laidback demeanor and stellar appeal will certainly be missed by many.

James leaves to cherish his loving memory: three children; Jennifer A. Danzie-Brown (Jason Danzie), Jessica L. Brown, and Jierra N. Brown; six grandchildren, Jordan Danzie, Jason Danzie, Jadyn Danzie, Aaliyah Miller, Jaden Payne, and Taj’z Washington; two sisters, Audrey Hicks (Robert Hicks Sr.) and Alonda Hicks (Ivory Hicks); one brother, Johnie Brown (Pauline Brown); and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
