Joey Braselle Levy was born to Harry Clerk Levy & Arnell Gardner on September 13, 1958, at the Historic Homer G. Philllips Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
He confessed a hope in Christ in his childhood and attended Lively Stone COGIC under the leadership of the late Bishop P.L. Scott and was also a proud member of the Metropolitan Boys & Girls Club of America.
Joey attended and graduated from Central High School in St. Louis, MO in 1977. While in high school, Joey was a member of the wrestling and soccer teams. He also attended Central Methodist University in Fayette, MO.
Although he never married nor fathered children, he dedicated his life to his family, friends and his community. As a career, Joey obtained his mechanic certification in the early 80’s, managed his father’s lounge (Harry’s) after his death, but retired as a Normandy School District bus driver in the mid 90’s.
Those left to cherish his memory are his brother-Johnnie Lee Levy, sister-Jacqueline Lynell Levy, Nephew, Julian (Trina Hubbard), two nieces FeLauren & Shanell Levy, two great nephews, four great nieces, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins & friends. His parents and one sister proceeded him in death.
Joey’s love of family, dance, music, beer and laughter will live on with us forever!
