Mr. John Dezell Obituary
On September 16, 1955 in Hollandale, Mississippi, John Walter Dezell was born to the union of the late Robert Freeman Sr. and Rose Miller Dezell.
John met Ernestine Collins in 1976 and later united in holy matrimony on September 11, 1979 and to this union they reared four children. During this time, John continued on to resume his duties in the United States Army. After serving nine years, John was honorably discharged back home to his family.
On Monday, September 28, 2020, John’s battle of illness was finally over. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Robert Freeman Jr. and Otis “Bo” Dezell (Bertha).
He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Ernestine Dezell; one daughter, Atreda Collins; three sons, Derrick Dezell (Dominique), Tyrus Dezell and Marvis Dezell of Memohis, TN; two brothers, Marshall Dezell of Memphis, TN and Steve Dezell of Lexington, KY; two sisters, Marva Jean Jones of Indianola, MS and Barbara Dezell Miller of Itta Bena, MS; seven grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends whom he all loved.
