Juwon Marquis Carter (Manny) was born April 11,1979 in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born to the proud parents of Otis and Tequilla Carter- Jefferson. Juwon was a light to everyone who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father Otis, two children Juwon Jr. and Quinton, one brother Edward III, two aunties Annette, and Lavada, two uncles Roosevelt Jr. and Marshall, two grandmothers Lillie and Mae Annie, two grandfathers, Roosevelt Sr., and Charles and one cousin Patrick Jr.
Juwon confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and became a member of Leonard Missionary Baptist Church where he was baptized in 1993 under the leadership of Bishop Steven G. Thompson Sr.
Juwon attended St. Louis Public Schools where he participated in several different sports, such as track and field, football, and basketball. He also loved singing, playing the drums, and entertaining the crowd. He went on to graduate from Vashon High School in 1999.
Juwon was a very energetic and a fierce person. He was a protector to all. He never met a stranger. He was VERY, VERY talkative. And no matter what his circumstances were, he always had a smile on his face and was in good spirits.
Juwon was called to the presence of our Lord on September 30, 2023, at 10:36am. He leaves to cherish his memory: his mother Tequilla; his children Kristen, Amerika, Charlese, Markala, Allannah,Tamia, Hannah, and Josiah; his four grandchildren Brielle, Timothy V, A’laya, and Aneith; his siblings Otis, Courtney, Bernard, Candace, and Andrea; the true love of his life Lashawnda; and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends all of St. Louis.
