Mr. Lee Roy Smith

Lee Roy Smith was born on November 9, 1943 to the late Sam Smith and Edna Armstrong in Stephens, Arkansas. He departed this life on April 20, 2020.

At an early age, Lee united with Mt. Vernon A.M.E. Church in Stephens, Arkansas He later married Archie Mae Heard and to this union four children were born.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Archie Mae Smith, his son Eddie Dwayne Smith, his parents, Sam and Edna Smith, one sister, Gracie Atkins, three brothers, Odell Smith, Elmer Smith and Albert Smith.

He is survived by his daughters Lisa Askew, Pamela Johnson and Tonga Smith and son, Lamont Smith of St. Louis, Missouri; two brothers, Sam Smith, Jr. and Herman Smith of St. Louis, Missouri; four sisters, Helen Nolden of St. Louis, Missouri, Darlene Shanks of Corona, California, Ardean Stokes of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Louise Smith of St. Louis, Missouri. He also leaves to cherish his memory eight grandchildren, Marcus Ware, Tiffany Smith, Eddie Smith, Jr., Brandon Price, Ashley Smith, Brittany Smith, Ariel Askew and Anthony Gordon; six great-grandchildren, Nathaniel, Jordan and Ethan Tomlin, Kortnee and Kali Ware, Ashton Clemson; in-laws, nieces and nephews and a host of other family members and friends who loved him dearly.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. Revelation 21:4
