On July 24, 2020 the world lost one of its brightest stars Lonnie Charles Freeman. Thirty-eight years just does not seem to be enough for all the people that loved him so much that it’s almost unbelievable to even imagine saying, “Good Bye.”
Lonnie was born in St. Louis, Mo August 8, 1981. He was a proud graduate of Soldan High School of the class of 2000. He worked as a transporter at DePaul Hospital, and as Dock Worker for the U.S. Postal Service.
Lonnie loved sports and music. Lonnie loved people even more that one may say, “He never met a stranger he just met a new friend.”
Lonnie is predeceased by his loving mother, Carol A. Freeman, his protective and caring father Gregory L. Freeman, both grandmothers Joyce Lenoir and Dorothy Freeman, and his grandfather Ernest Lenoir.
Lonnie is lovingly remembered by his sister, Jalonda Auberry; his nephew, Malcom J. Nelson (Destiny); two great-nieces, Dakota and Mahari Nelson; loving aunts, Rita Auberry, Sherryl Patterson, Mattie Freeman, Doris Freeman, and Gertrude Freeman; uncles Henry J. Auberry (Alma), Haven Auberry, Anthony Freeman, and Chester Freeman, Jr.
