Lorenzo Coleman was the youngest child born to the union of Luther and Bernice Coleman in Saint Louis, Missouri on May 13, 1968. His father, Luther Coleman, brother-in-law Kenneth Coleman, and great nephew Trayvione Bond preceded him in death.
Lorenzo attended the Saint Louis Public Schools and later obtained his GED Certificate in December, 1986.
Lorenzo, (most people knew him as Tuffy in his childhood), was a protector of his family; he was very intelligent and smart. He loved to dress nice, eat, travel, and listen to music, playing cards, dominoes and having a good time hanging out with family and friends. Lorenzo enjoyed attending North Galilee Baptist Church with his mother then going to his cousin’s JoAnn house for Sunday dinner. He had a serious side but he was also funny and knew how to make people laugh. He had a personality that couldn’t be ignored and knew how to put a smile on people faces.
Lorenzo worked at a few restaurants for several years. His health began to fail and he was placed in a nursing home facility in 2021.
On December 5, 2023, God called him home. He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving and devoted mother, Bernice Coleman; sister Sophie Garrett Griffin (Ralph Griffin); brother Terry Chatman (Yvette Chatman); sister Connie Coleman (Kenneth Coleman); sister Yvonne Coleman and sister Lisa Coleman; and a very special cousin JoAnn Dozier and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
