Mr. Pearson L. Phillips Sr.

Pearson L Phillips Sr was born on April 1, 1949 in Macon, Mississippi to the late Ernestine Phillips and Henderson Sharp. Both parents and his brother Howard Tippett preceded him in death. At a young age his mother moved them to Saint Louis where they both continued to live until their deaths.

Pearson received and exceptional education up until he was drafted into the army in 1968 where he served four years. Pearson was a very giving, loving, hard-working and caring person. He made sure he worked hard to provide for his children and grandchildren, and was there for every important event in their lives. His wisdom and words of encouragement have and will continue to touch inspire and live on in the hearts of those he touched.

On Sunday, January 17, 2021 Pearson departed the life in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family. He went to meet his mother and receive his eternal rest.

Pearson leaves to cherish his memories: seven sons, Pearson Phillips Jr. of Saint Louis, Missouri; Pedro Clark of Saint Louis, Missouri; Recco Phillips of New Madrid, Missouri; Carlos Phillips of New Madrid, Missouri; Kendell Robinson Sr. of Saint Louis, Missouri; Montez Robinson of Wichita, Kansas; LaDell Phillips of Saint Louis, Missouri; and LaDell Young of Saint Louis, Missouri; six daughters, Laronda Young of Saint Louis, Missouri; Star Robinson of New Madrid, Missouri; LaShonda Young of Saint Louis, Missouri; LaTricia Young of Saint Louis, Missouri; Natasha Phillips of Saint Louis, Missouri and Dimon Phillips of Saint Louis, Missouri; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
