Mr. Stephen Earl Jordan

Family and friends of Stephen Jordan join in remembrance of life, lived with love and sincerity. At the age of 66 on November 26, 2023, much too soon for our hearts, Stephen Jordan will be remembered as a husband, father, brother, friend and Veteran who began his journey where those who loved him could not follow.

Stephen Earl Jordan was born June 8, 1957 to the late Herbert and Joan Jordan in St. Louis, Missouri, the second eldest of eight children. Stephen joined the United States Army and was stationed at Newport News, Virginia. It was during this time he met his wife Valerie.

After leaving the Army he got a job as a Correctional Officer at the St. Louis Work House. Stephen left St. Louis and went to Danville, VA with his family, where he worked for Danville Cotton Factory.

Stephen is survived by his wife Valerie, son Emanuel, sister Kim Jones (deceased) brother Anthony Jordan, sister Gina Reece, brothers Terrance/Jean Jordan, Alfred/Sonya Jordan, Darryl Jordan, sister Estella Wells. 15 Nephews, 6 Nieces. 10 great nephews, 7 great nieces and a host of extended family and friends who loved him.
