Terrence Smith, 60, of St. Louis passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2022, peacefully at his home. Terrence was born August 11, 1962, to parents Edward D. Smith Sr. and Charletta A. Smith in St. Louis, Missouri.
After Terrence graduated from Soldan High School in 1980, he attended the University of Missouri Columbia. He held a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. While attending Mizzou he became a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. in the Fall of 1984, the Eta Gamma Chapter and was an active member of Kappa Sigma Chapter, St. Louis until his passing.
After graduating from college, Terrence started his career working in various halfway houses. On August 30, 1993, he joined the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. He retired on April 5, 2015, after serving 22 years on the force.
In 2002 Terrence met April King and they welcomed their daughter, Jadyn Smith in 2004. After retiring from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, he pursued a career in substitute teaching and coached basketball at Ladue High School. He later worked for the Circuit Attorneys office as an Private Investigator.
Terrence was preceded in death by his parents Edward D. Smith Sr. and Charletta A. Smith. He is survived by his daughter Jadyn Smith, her mother April King and brother Edward Smith.
