Walter “Ronnie” Bennett III was born April 12, 1974 in St. Louis, MO. He was the youngest of three children to the union of Walter and Vera Bennett. Ronnie gained his wings on September 12, 2023.
Ronnie accepted Christ at an early age.
Ronnie received formal education within the University City School System and graduated from University City High School in 1992.
Ronnie played multiple sports during his childhood, however his passion was baseball. This was even true in his adulthood as his favorite team was the St. Louis Cardinals (He and his father Walter would always have loving banter about their favorite teams).
Ronnie worked as a Clerk with the United States Postal Services for multiple years.
Ronnie was a brave, strong and charismatic man. Aside from his love for baseball, Ronnie was passionate about family. Ronnie held many titles in his life but his favorite role was being a father. He loved nothing more than spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was always there for them, whether he was helping them with homework, preparing them for a job interview or cheering them on at their sporting events. He made sure to be involved in the lives of his children and grandchildren.
Ronnie then met the love of his life, Kay approximately 20 years ago and they were inseparable ever since. They have many cherished memories and she was truly his life partner.
Despite health challenges later in his life, he never lost hope or his sense of humor. Throughout his entire journey, he made sure to smile and let the ones in his life know that he loved them. He had a great ability to make others smile and his sense of humor and hugs will be missed.
Ronnie leaves his cherished memories with his parents Walter and Vera Bennett; life partner Kay; children Je`Monte` (Gariana) Jones, Gentara, Zykia and Chaya; grandchildren Nevaeh and Malikai; siblings Sylvia Bennett and Daphne Bennett; niece Keshia and a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
