Mr. William Curry Obituary

William Jacob Curry was born in Los Angeles, California on February 11, 1971 to the parents of Wendie and Charlie Curry who later took up residence in St. Louis, MO. No one could conceive, living then nor living now, how much his life would truly impact ours.

At birth William weighed a mere 2lbs 11oz and was given the nickname Peewee by his father because he could fit in the palm of his hand. Although the doctors had little hope of his survival, he surpassed all their expectations after a months stay, leaving the hospital a strong healthy baby boy.

Standing at 5’ 7”, his nickname stuck with most of his family and friends. He graduated from Northwest High School in 1990 with honors, and proceeded to join the United States Marines Corps where he served his country for a few years, then moved to San Diego, CA. where he met his wife Leah.

During his lifetime Peewee had diverse types of jobs. He wore many hats and had a plethora of talents but his true passion was cooking. He loved to barbecue, he loved to feed people and he desired to one day purchase his very own food truck and start a restaurant.

Peewee may have been known as many things, a son, a brother, an uncle, a nephew, a grandson, a father figure and a friend, but most of all he was known as everyone’s favorite person to be around. Peewee brought the party with him no matter the situation you could always depend on his smile, wit, and good humor. Even in the hospital he elected to entertain us with his charm and tried to be encouraging and uplifting to ensure that it’s gonna be alright.

In 2007 he finally met his soulmate Patricia Edwards who fondly remembers and referred to him as Boobie. They met at a pre-Memorial Day party and remained together.

William Jacob “Peewee” Curry was preceded in death by his grandfathers Jacob Curry and John Ware, his uncle Howard Curry, and his nephews Joshua Curry and Camron Curry.

William leaves to cherish his memory his mother Wendie Curry, father Charlie Curry, sisters Melanie Curry and Courtney Harris, brother Eric Curry, grandmother Eleanor Ware, life partner Patricia Edwards, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and friends. William will be truly missed by many people across the country and will be welcomed by his two favorite nephews.

Fly high king.....we’ll see you again when it’s time.
