William Jay Zapp, age 27, formally of Nashville, passed away in Bridgeton, Missouri March 10, 2022. Will was born July 9, 1994 in Carbondale, Illinois to Jason and Monica Zapp. Will was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jay and Marilyn Zapp and Jean Zapp. He is survived by his parents, brothers, Kyle (Heather) Burke, Logan Burke, Uncle Jon (Lisa) Zapp, Aunt Jayne (Randy) Reuter, nephews Emmett, Andy, Connor, Leo, one niece, Grace and his “fur baby boys“, Benjamin and Elliot Zapp.

Will graduated Nashville High-school in 2012. He studied music and nursing at SIUC and John A. Logan College. He loved singing and songwriting. Will was a talented musician and finish carpenter. He enjoyed working with his hands and helping people. His personality lit up a room and if you knew him you will always remember his unique sense of humor.

Our hearts are broken but we cherish the time we had with Will. The family will hold a celebration of life Saturday, March 19th, from noon until five, at his parents’ house. Stop by, have a bite to eat and share in our celebration of Will.
