Mrs. Ardelia Robinson Obituary

Ardelia Patricia Ross Robinson was born April 6, 1951 to Nelson “Buster” Ross and Theola (Betts) Ross in St. Louis, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Mary Ross and Rosie B. Reed; brother John Ross and grandson Savon Payne.

Ardelia was educated in the St. Louis public schools attending Hempstead and Soldan High School.

Ardelia confessed her hope in Christ and was baptized at Morning Star Baptist Church by Pastor A.L. Pryor. She later became a charter member of Shalom Church City of Peace under Pastor F. James Clark. Ardelia served faithfully in the health unit until her health declined. She loved her church and her pastor.

Early in life, Ardelia united in holy matrimony to Anthony Payne. To this union her only child, Shonna, was born. Several years later Ardelia wed Marvin Walker who preceded her in death. Later in life, she married Arthur Robinson who also preceded her in death.

Ardelia worked in Security for many years before working as a home health aide.

Ardelia is survived by her daughter, Shonna Young (Vernon Jr.); grandchildren, Vernon III, Queen Victoria and King David; stepchildren, Elonda Cornell, Lakendra Robinson, Arthur Robinson Jr. and Corsandra Foster; sisters, Bertha Ruth James of Milwaukee, WI and Lonise Johnson; brother, Leonard Betts (Cherrisse) of Atlanta, GA; a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends.
