Carole Marie Blocker was born on September 22, 1944 in St. Louis, Missouri. She was the daughter of Marie Johnson-Barnes Todd and Lawrence Barnes.

Carole attended Soldan High School and worked at Buffalo Tools Company for 25 years until she retired in the accounting department. Carole was joined in Holy Matrimony to Archie Blocker, who preceded her in death. To this union, they had one daughter, Cheri Blocker-Russell.

Carole Blocker professed a hope in Christ at an early age under the leadership of her grandparents, Bishop Lawrence Williams and Pearl Williams. Carole later joined St. Michael’s Temple under the leadership of Dr. Michael A. West. She was a very devoted member and she loved going to Sunday School.

Carole was a person who would always speak what was on her mind. She loved her family and friends. She would call just to have a little chat to see how things are going and if you needed anything. She was a true giver from her heart.

Carole Marie Blocker departed this life on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at DePaul Hospital. She had a good life and was preceded in death by her father, 4 of her brothers and a sister. Carole loved her children: Eric, Stanley, Emmitt, Cynthia and Cheri, very much.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her mother Marie Todd, aunt Sylvella Hughes, sisters including her twin Karla (Emanuel Jr.) Woods, Katherine (Herman) Wilkins, Janet (Sylvester) Tramble, Luana Kiandoli and brother Russell Todd; daughters Cheri (Terence) Russell and Cynthia Barnes; sons Eric Clemmons, Stanley (Phyllis) Barnes and Emmitt (Kim) Bell; niece and nephew Angela and Emanuel Woods; stepchildren Janet, Tracy, Jean and Michael; sisters-in-law Iola, Rosie, Olivia (Ray), Elizabeth (James) and Diana; brothers-in-law Ernest (Marquita) and Tony (Katherine); goddaughter Tonya Mosley; grandchildren and great grandchildren Latacha O’Neal, Ericka Clemmons, Cydney Pope, Christopher Nelson, Casey Travis, Cory Cunningham, Joshua Stanley Barnes, Jaxon Alexander Cunningham, Crystal Barnes, Christopher Barnes, Christina, Jessica, Andrew, Ousha, Malashia, Carole, George and Rosemary Bell, Preracio Jones, Zuhmon and Cimonti Russell and a host of other nieces, nephews, and other relatives who loved her dearly.
