Mrs. Cheryl Clark-Banks Obituary

Cheryl Yvonne Banks was born August 18, 1955 in St Louis, Missouri to the union of Stanford and Barbara Clark. She was the first of two children. Her parents preceded her in death.

Cheryl received most of her education in the Catholic School System before transferring to University City School District from which she graduated. She attended Victor Valley College in Victorville, California and later completed training through a medical assistant program at Vatterott College. In 1980 while being a stay-at-home mom, Cheryl opened a daycare in her home that spanned over 20 years. She also worked in the home health care  field, holding many jobs that allowed her to help people, young and old, which was her true passion.

Cheryl was united in marriage to Calvin Banks and two children were born to this union, Alicia and Calvin. He preceded her in death. Cheryl later married Jerry Robinson in 2008. He also preceded her in death.

Cheryl was a free spirit who loved without bounds; she never met a stranger. Everywhere she went she touched the lives of others through love, companionship, and prayer. She loved family gatherings, food, fun, and spreading joy. She especially loved spending quality time with her grandbabies and great grandbabies.

Cheryl met her purpose and God said, "Well done, your assignment is complete" on the morning of July 2, 2020.

She leaves to cherish her memories: two children, Calvin Banks (Lauren) and Alicia Davis (Aaron); twelve grandchildren, Steven Cook, Aaliyah Cook, Hasani Crosby, Aarin Davis, Donavin Davis, Ayanna Davis, Aja Davis, Calvin Banks Jr., Christian Banks, Corey Banks, Camryn Banks and Courtney Banks; three great grandchildren, Steven Cook Jr., Sasha Cook, and Melania Cook; one sister, Valerie Massey (Eric); and host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and without a doubt her plethora of adored and beloved friends. To Heaven she carries a piece of each one of us.
