Mary Catherine Heidelberg was born on October 7, 1943, in the city of Cleveland, Mississippi to the union of Woodrow and Beatrice Harris. She was the only child to this union. Both parents and husband preceded her in death.
Mary resided in St. Louis, Mo throughout her childhood and was educated through the St. Louis Public-School System. Mary began her nursing career in the 1970’s at Delmar Gardens, but later went on to work and retire from Willert Home Products in 2007.
Mary had a love for the arts, casino outings with family, fashion, and she also sang alto for a group called “All God’s Children”. Mary accepted Jesus Christ and was baptized at an early age.
In April 1993 she married Cleve Heidelberg in Peoria, Illinois, and to this union no children were born.
On the afternoon of December 09, 2020 at Mercy Hospital, Mary was called from labor to reward peacefully while sleeping. She leaves to cherish her memory: six children all of St. Louis, Missouri, Samuel Lee, Brian Keith Lee, Montoya (Deaun) Butler, Deborah Butler, Lisa Butler, and Darian Butler; along with one step-son Stephen Heidelberg of Peoria, Illinois, her loving and caretaking grandson Terell (Tiana) Butler; 20 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and a host of cousins and friends.
