Ms. Annie Allen Obituary

Annie was born in Saint Louis Missouri on April 27, 1955, the eighth oldest of fourteen siblings to the late Wavie and Annie B. Bullock. Demetry Bullock, her only son preceded her in death along with four siblings; one sister, Barbara Gaines; three brothers Anthony, Ezra, and Kevin Bullock.

Annie was educated in the St. Louis Public Schools. After graduation, she started work for AT&T until she retired in 2007. Annie was a caregiver for her mother until her death. She enjoyed helping the elderly and worked part-time at First Light Home Care. She was a valuable employee and was nominated for the caregiver of the year by her boss and clients. She was an exceptional caregiver with a true servant attitude. Her favorite hobbies were singing, jigsaw puzzles, reading, traveling both domestic and international. She was a true sports fan and she really loved the Saint Louis Cardinals. She traveled around the country to see the Cardinals play.

Annie grew up in the church. She confessed Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She studied God’s word faithfully every day. She was a highly active member of the choir at Shalom Church (City of Peace), prison ministry, nursing home ministry, and continued to serve until she was called home.

Annie leaves to cherish her memory; her beloved daughter Taquila Renee Reed, granddaughter Wynter Annette Johnson, five sisters Katie McCullin of Hockessin, DE, Betty Mays of Atlanta, GA, Gwendolyn Hunter, Kim Hopson and Lydia Nicholson of St. Louis, MO; four brothers Herbert Bullock, Detroit, MI, Andrew Bullock and David Bullock of St. Louis, MO, and Melvin Bullock (Renee), Grass Valley, CA. two adopted brothers Lawrence Bullock of St. Louis, MO, and Terrence Bullock of Atlanta GA; and a host of aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins, church family, and friends.
