Darlene Lenshelle Walker was born on January 25, 1959 in Saint Louis, Missouri. She was the fourth child of seven born to the union of her mother Ophelia Jackson-Walker, and father Freddrick Lee Walker, who both proceeded her in death. 

Darlene was educated in the Saint Louis Public Schools, and she became a member of House of Miracles Church where she started turning her life over to God. Darlene was a very family-oriented women who loved her family and friends. She kept a smile on everyone’s face with her presence. She loved to dance, sing, cook, decorate, and spend time with her children and grandchildren. Darlene and her younger sister Inez were two peas in a pod, and their bond was unbreakable. Her “Niecy Poo” April was like a daughter to her, and she was the light of every party. Overall, she was a giving, caring, and loving person, and would help out anyone in anyway. 

Darlene Lenshelle Walker departed this life Sunday, February 5, 2023 at 6:43pm. She was proceeded in death by her grandmother, Inez Morrison, older sister Sharon Ann Walker, older brother Cortez Walker, and grandson Willie Earl Rias III. She leaves to cherish her legacy (4) daughters, Kimberly Walker, Penny Walker, Tanita Walker, Patrice Robinson, (6) sons, Willie Rias, Demetris Torrence, Toriano Walker, Tommy Love, Gregory Paris, James Carter; (21) grandchildren, (16) great grandchildren; (6) siblings Freddrick Walker (Sandra), Tyrone Walker (Lenora), Inez Little (Lawrence), Percy Walker, John Jones, Patricia Jones, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
