Darline Calhoun was affectionately known as “DeDe” by those who knew, loved, and cared for her.. Dede was born to George Ulysses Calhoun (who preceded her in death) and Ruth Calhoun on Thursday, April 15, 1993, in Saint Louis, Missouri. Darline was the youngest and only girl of three children. She acknowledged a belief in God at an early age.
April 5, 2010, DeDe gave birth to the first love of her life, Kevin Morris, Jr. One year later DeDe graduated from Oakville Senior High School in 2011. On October 3, 2017, DeDe and Don (Static) Collins gave birth to the second love of DeDe's life, her youngest son, Donaven Collins. DeDe would joke for months that she was having a little girl. As was her nature DeDe was a jokester, a deeply loyal friend, and always quipping phrases like: "ten toes down behind and NAMIN (in a minute)", yet "turtle-like" tendencies: a tough exterior, but a loving and caring core.
As a passionate career-driven person, DeDe enjoyed cosmetology and was an aspiring loctician. She was widely known for her affectionate smile, outgoing personality, and was full of energy. Remembrances that brought joy to DeDe were: a cute hairstyle, a nice outfit, her mother's cooking, and a brand new pair of shoes. DeDe was fearless and would protect those she held dear at any cost. DeDe was extremely generous and known to give those in need the shirt off her back.
She will be greatly missed and leaves to cherish her precious memory: her loving mother Ruth Calhoun, two young sons Kevin Jr. and Donaven, older brothers Algernon (LeDominique) Rhodes, Jeffrey (Lexie) Williams, fiancee’ Don Collins, her childhood best friend, and cousin Jennifer Rhodes and a great company of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
