JEANETTE JONES was born along with her twin, Antionette Jones on April 21, 1965, in St. Louis, Missouri to Mr. Willie and Verlee Jones. Jeanette was preceded in death by both parents; Willie and Verlee, son; Olando Javar Jones, granddaughter; Mckenzie Bostic, grandfather; Sess Spencer, two sisters; Malinda and Margaree, three brothers; Floyd, James, and Vincent, two uncles; Samuel and Jack, aunt; Dellabelle, three nieces; Jacqueline, Monica, and Rita, three nephews; Darrell Johnson, Brenton Jones, and Antwon.
Jeanette was educated in St. Louis Public School System and received her certification from Sanford Brown.
Jeanette was joined in Holy Matrimony to DeWayne Long, of Arkansas. (JLO & C.O.E.D.S.)
Jeanette truly loved to dance. She didn’t need a partner to dance, only the music. Her favorite was the Step Dance, like the Electric slide. Anyone who knew her would tell you, “She knew them all.” Jeanette loved her family. Cooking for gatherings was one way she showed her love. Grabbing you up with a hug and laughing “bite out of those cheeks”, was just what was needed to get the younger children giggling. She was a joy to be around.
God called Jeanette home on Sunday, November 15, 2020. She leaves to cherish her memory: her twin and best friend; Antionette, her children; Corliss, Ebony, Shanesha, Da’Monte (Racheal), twenty one grandchildren, three brothers; Rickey, Willie Jr. (Stella), Maurice (Jocelyn), four sisters; Artimese (Allen), Norma (Barry), Shay, Antionette, sister-in-law; Myra Jones, special friends; Laura, Latreice, Angel, Esi, Darlene, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
