Kim Alexander (aka Lady Bug) was born February 5, 1957 to Elizabeth Alexander and Bernard Battle in Saint Louis, Missouri, the eldest of four siblings. Kim departed on July 31, 2021. She was preceded in death by her loving father Bernard Battle, mother Elizabeth Moore, beloved brothers Stan Alexander and Keith Alexander, great grandmothers Marybelle Williams and Elizabeth Brooks, great grandfather Howard Brooks, grandmother Alice Alexander, grandfather Charles Luper, aunt Lucille Palmer and uncle William Hornbeck.
Kim received her education at Washington Elementary and Soldan High school in Saint Louis. Soon after, she joined the workforce.
Kim was employed at Busman Fuse, Edison Brother, but the one job that gave her the most joy was in child care. Kim’s love for children landed her a job at the Cornerstone Center of Early Learning. Her unconditional love and compassion rippled into her job. She formed long lasting relationships with the families while ensuring them that their children's care was her first priority.
Kim accepted Christ as her Savior at Westside Baptist Church Saint Louis, Missouri, where she served as a faithful member who truly loved the Lord. Her love for the Lord and her altruistic need to help others made her a special person, and loving child of GOD.
She leaves to cherish her memory: one daughter Korea Marie Phillip; one son Damen Giovonni Alexander; three brothers Jerry Darnell Alexander, Kevin Alexander and Rosine Dewitt Moore Jr.; grandchildren Korey Alexander, D'Andre Alexander, Christopher Bankston, Erikka Bankston, Anthony Mull, Damen Giovonni Alexander Jr., Elijah Congress, Tavion Alexander, Tavionna Alexander and Keisha Alexander; aunts Monica Luper, Neosha Luper, Roxie Caldwell and Robbie Wallace; uncle Dale Luper; cousins Karen Marie Harden, Kenneth Washington, Robert Earl Harmon, Claudette Harmon, Rochelle Perry and Travius Harmon; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
