Lisa Askew was born June 28th, 1965 in Stephens, Arkansas to the union of Lee R. Smith and Archie Smith. She departed this life on May 29th, 2022.
She attended Carver Elementary and graduated from Vashon High school in 1984. She later pursued additional education at Florissant Valley studying Graphic Design. Lisa spent most of her career in the legal field and most recently accepted a position with Kirkland Ellis Law Firm.
Lisa loved being a grandmother and was very family oriented. She also had a passion for baking and you couldn't keep her out of the kitchen. She was very caring, outgoing, and always dedicated herself to helping anyone whether she knew them or not.
She accepted Christ at a very young age. Her love for people was selfless and her love for Christ was even greater. If you knew Lisa, you know you'd be bound to receive a message or scripture about the Lord. Lisa had been a member of Shalom for over 20+ years and had a great impact on her family as well as her church family.
Lisa was preceded in death by her parents (Lee Smith and Archie Smith) and her twin brother (Eddie Smith). She leaves to cherish her memories: 2 children, Marcus Ware and Ariel Askew; 4 siblings, Pamela Johnson (Terry), Kimberly Dismuke (Roy), Tonga Smith and Lamont Smith; 1 sister-in-law, Antoinette Smith; 3 grandchildren, Kortnee Ware, Kali Ware and Kassidy Lenoir; 3 nieces, Tiffany, Ashley and Brittany Smith; 6 nephews, Terrance, Regis, Brandon, Kyrin, Junior and Anthony; 4 great nephews, Nathaniel, Jordan, Ashton and Ethan; as well as a host of cousins, aunts and uncles.
