Ms. Mayomia Causey

Ms. Mayomia (Pie) Causey, 89, of Saint Louis, MO. passed on January 17, 2022 at her residence. She was born on June 30, 1932 in Bonita, Louisiana to the late Vielia Causey and Johnny Benjamin Causey. She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age.

Pie worked as a house manager at Falstaff Brewery Company, as a nanny, and in housekeeping at Ted Cross for many years. She would always encourage others by sharing stories about being raised in a southern town during the era of racism. She embraced her southern heritage by always being proud of the sacrifice she made to ensure her children and grandchildren would have equal rights and better opportunities. She was a woman after God's own heart, and she would always encourage others and never let anyone that crossed her path go without. She loved to cook, she loved the outdoors and spending time with family.

Mayomia was preceded in death by her parents: Vielia Causey and Johnny Benjamin Causey; her sisters: Lucille Hollie and Bethel Weathers; her brothers: Jam Causey and Buddy Causey; her granddaughter, Hope Selena Causey and her nephew, Johnny B Causey.

She is survived by her son: Clifton Causey; her daughter: Vielia Washington: her grandchildren; Irene Johnson, Endia Liggins, Geraldine & Nicholas Alexander, Kawanda Burton, Jessica Causey, Clifton Causey ll, Tari White, Clifton Causey lll, and Cornelius; her great grandchildren: Shayko & Shane Williams, Shamar, Tyren, Marvin, Brennan, Caydience, Michelle, Luna, Nova, Noah, Jace, Aiden, Andrew, Nyoka, Anthony, Ja’Day, Michelle Selena, and Aaron; her great great grandchildren: Soraya, Elijah, Anthony jr, Ashton, Rashad, Uzziah, Zoeundra lll, Zoe``, Kobe, and Ja’Riya. Through life Ms. Pie developed many friendships many of which became her family: Ashley, Ciera, Doris, Angela, and Betty, Gennie. Pie also leaves behind a host of other family and friends.
