Ms. Phyllis Ann Green was born June 13th, 1964 in Saint Louis, Mo. She was the third child of eleven born to Mary Jane Green-Anderson who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death are her life partner - Terry Lamar Hickman Sr., Grandmother - Ollie May Green, Grandfather - Thomas Green, Step Father - Woodrow Anderson, Granddaughter - Alyssia Love, Four Nephews - Derrell Mayes Sr., Anthony Smith, Albert Burks, Anthony Stevenson, One Special Niece (whom she loved so very much) - Laura Mae Green, Grandson - Buster Hickman, Daughter-in-Law - Shena Love, and One Special Friend - Erma.
Phyllis Ann Green attended the Saint Louis Public School District and studied at Beaumont High School. She accepted Christ later in life and was baptized at Mount Herman Missionary Church by Pastor Tony Thurman.
Phyllis was a creative artist with the ability to create something AMAZING out of nothing, and interior decorating came to her naturally. She loved to cook and keep the family together. Phyllis was the confidant and fierce protector of her entire family. She nurtured everyone's kids, and never turned away a person's heavy burdens. Phyllis was the life of the party. She had a personality so big that it would fill the room. She loved to host parties for her children, nieces, and nephews - and she loved to dance dance dance with them. Phyllis loved playing cards, “playing her numbers”, and talking on the phone (for hours) with her family and friends. Above all else, her children were her world and the reasons that she continued to fight a long battle of sickness.
Phyllis was called home to be with the Lord on November 23, 2023.
Phyllis leaves to cherish her memories Two Sons - James Terrell Love and Jermaine Lamar Hickman; Two Daughters - Terri Latasha Hickman and Maryann Hickman; Four Brothers - Jaycee Green, Christopher Green Sr., Demetrius Green, and Woodrow Anderson Jr.; Six Sisters - best friend as well as “Sista, Sista “ - Ollie Green, Bridgett Anderson, Andrea Anderson Crowder, Donella Anderson, Bonita Anderson, and Yowanda Anderson. She leaves grandchildren Zaryiah Robinson, Demanuel Love, Devonte Love, James T. Love Jr., Jordan Love, Deshawn Smith, Sha’kya Woods, Antonette Smith, and Re’Nya. Phyllis also leaves a VERY special great nephew Elijah James whom she always said, “HE is my heart, always.” She leaves One Special Uncle - Jimmy Green whom she called “My Heart”; a very special Goddaughter - Jessica Williamson (Jay), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Phyllis leaves her doctor/her angel - Dr. Kenneth Gerdes - whom she could go to for anything during her 28 year battle with end stage renal disease.
