Raykel Beyonce Thompson was born on September 13, 2000 in St Louis, Missouri to the parents of Alisa Peterson andnEthridge Ray Thompson Jr. whom preceded her in death. Raykel was the middle child of her siblings. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Barbara Peterson, Eugene Hunter, her father Ethridge “Raybo” Thompson Jr. and her niece Raeia.
Raykel was very spiritual she grew up attending church with her Aunt at Friendship Missionary Baptist church. Raykel was educated in the St. Louis Public school system. She graduated from Vashon High school in 2019. Raykel went on to receive her CNA and cosmetology license. She was employed at several nursing home facilities where her gentle spirt and kind heart touched many lives. Raykel, was a talented and self-employed hairstylist who brought beauty and confidence to those in the community. Her love, creativity, and dedication will forever be remembered. She was a jack of all trades, “Forever that girl!”
Raykel, better known as Ray Pretty / Downtown Princess. Raykel was one of a kind. Raykel was always willing to help others in any way possible. Raykel was a girly girl. Beautiful, bossy, energetic, goofy, and a charismatic person. Raykel was a “go getta” for sure and stayed fly! “She gone forever be that girl!” Raykel was the life of the party, “Clock that tea!” Truly impacted the world. We shall remember Raykel by the most important gift she left us, Loyal. He fulfilled her life and was truly her EVERYTHING. Wherever she was, he was right there with her. Loyal had his mommy wrapped around his little fingers, and she loved every bit of it. Above all, Raykel was a very loving and nurturing mother who dedicated all her time, love, and energy to her son. She poured her heart into giving him the best life possible.
