Ms. Sherry Fleming Obituary

Sherry Ann Fleming was born on August 5, 1955, to Annie Mae Taylor and Sherman Patterson in Poplar Bluff, Missorui. Both parents preceded Sherry in death.

During her childhood, Sherry attended the Poplar Bluff school system. At a young age, She decided to move to Indiana where she worked hard and established a life for herself. After living in Indiana for several years Sherry decided to move to St. Louis, Mo. Upon moving to St. Louis she began working for Incarnate Word Hospital which later became St. Louis University Hospital. During her career, she met George Benson, and through this relationship her only child was born. Several years later she would meet Jacey Fleming whom she married and who also preceded her in death. During her marriage, she rededicated her life to Christ.

Sherry was a dedicated, hard worker and because of her commitment, she received numerous awards honoring her for her service. After 38 years of service, she decided to retire and enjoy life. Sherry did just that, she enjoyed going to the casino but most importantly she loved spending time with her family and friends, and most of all listening to music. Sherry would be the highlight at every family gathering or holiday as she was the life of the party.

Although she was struck with an illness she still pressed forward enjoying her life until her Heavenly Father called her home on September 24, 2022. Sherry may be gone from this side, however the love and laughter she shared with her family and friends will always be remembered.

Sherry had (1) sister and (3) brothers who preceded her in death however to cherish her love and memories she leaves her only child, Lauryn Fleming; (2) sisters JoAnn Moody-Allen and Geneva Benton of St. Louis, Mo; (2) brothers Willie D. Campbell of St. Louis Mo and Dee Jones (Carolyn) of Topeka, KS.
