Patricia Ann Kelly, affectionately known as “PK,” was born on February 26, 1945, in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late James Barnett Kelly and Ruth Curb. Patricia’s early education took place at Cole Elementary, followed by her graduation from Soldan High School in 1963. After high school, Patricia defied the odds when she was accepted into the Jewish School of Nursing, one of only two Black students admitted each year at the time.
